This coffee comes from Tarrazú, Costa Rica, where various smallholders and the San Diego Mill produce a honey-process lot from Caturra and Catuai varieties grown between 1200 and 1750 meters. In the cup, it offers notes of chocolate, nectarine, guava, berry, honey, and citrus with a heavy body and medium acidity.
The honey process leaves mucilage on the seed during drying, helping develop the coffee’s sweetness and rounded texture. We recommend Costa Rica Tarrazú for drip coffee, espresso, and French press, all of which complement its body and layered sweetness.
